**Statue of Liberty**.
"Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
“Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she with silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
(Author:Emma Lazarus)
My Opinion
To me the poem is a voice of people who were afraid and out of control.
But the only thing that helps them, carry on was her and the pleasant feeling of freedom.
A way of remembrance to the people who have fought for their country, and their freedom.
The Statue of Liberty represents freedom to all Americans.
To me it’s a look of freedom, people who struggle with poverty, come
To the United States to have a better life. And I think as soon as you see her,The struggle and pain seems to fade away.
